My boys both love riding bikes SO much. We have had over a foot of snow on the ground, and they are still trying to take their bikes out to try and ride them. It is their favorite thing to do in the summer. Our issue is, my younger son, who is only two right now, isn't really old enough or coordinated enough to use peddles yet. They just end up getting in the way, hitting his legs. It can be awful some days.
I was so happy when given the chance to try a Kinderfeets trike for my kids. We chose to go with the CargoTrike. I am so happy this is the bike we got. It is perfect size for my two year old son. He is so happy on it. And with all the snow outside right now, and us having basically a perfect trike path throughout our home, it has been being used constantly. My four year old has even gotten on it. Though he is to big for it, he still was a bit jealous that he didn't have a bike of his own to play on.
We use this bike right now as the clean up bike. I tell them to ride wherever they want in the house, and find all the toys and put them in the box in the front. It works for the perfect game for both of my kids to really want to clean up. It can hold SO many hot wheels. I can't even tell you how many toys they have put into the bike to clean up, and try to hold off for even longer at the end of the night for bed time.
As for assembly. The bike does not come assembled. But comes with everything you need to put it together. Including the allen wrenches, one with a screw driver on the end that you will need to put everything together. I am not super great at doing these things, but when my kids seen the box for it. I knew it was on me to try and get it together. The instructions were great. They had written and picture instructions. Which can really be helpful depending on who you are. I used both just to ensure that I was doing it correctly. I would say if you are good at putting things together this will take no more then fifteen minutes. I however, had two little ones that were super excited around me, to add to me not being great at putting things together. I took about a half hour before I let my husband finish putting the wheels on.
I really like that Kinderfeet's bikes come with a limited warranty. So you don't have to stress about the what if's. Once put together this bike is very sturdy. And so stinking cute. My kids would not stay still long enough to let me take a picture of them. Most of their days are not spent taking turns zooming around the house on their bike.
